I offer clients a space to reflect and rebuild, a place to grow in the midst of life’s journeys. I recognize the transformative power of personal exploration and help clients discover health, wholeness, and understanding. Our past influences who we are and yet we are not its prisoners; we are always capable of becoming our own best selves.
My approach is client-centered and emotion-focused. I work from the assumption that emotional bonds are necessary throughout our lives. Your emotions do not rule you, they simply provide you with valuable information.
Each client is unique and so I utilize an individualized, integrative approach rooted in attachment theory, which emphasizes the importance of relationships in our lives. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches (e.g., motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, existential, emotion-focused, etc.) to tailor the experience to your needs.
Whether you are working through anxiety, depression, substance abuse, a difficult childhood, or you just need someone to talk with, I can help you create new meaning and new understanding in those stuck places. With couples, I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy, a proven method to help couples reconnect and resolve relationship conflict.
